What Liftdata Includes as Standard Feature:
Creation of simple Webpages to be viewed by customers and engineers: See Example Below
What Liftdata does not include as Standard Feature i.e. Optional addition:
a) Getting the webpages to your website and presenting them to your engineers/customers with a log in page, this is a Liftdata optional extra or can be provided by your own third party contractor.
b) Comprehensive webpages including Call Out and Repair Information.
LIFTDATA STANDARD WEBPAGE CREATION SYSTEM
Liftdata can produce webpages for up to 30 of the Lift Company's Customers and 30 Engineers route webpages in simple html format
This feature is included in the standard Liftdata Package.
It requires simple manual click of a button to create the webpages each day (or as required) or can be semi automated for customers running a dedicated PC with the Liftdata Infoscreen.
Its simple to setup,
1) Your I.T. contractor needs to map a Y:\ drive on your network which is accessible for all Liftdata users.
2) Eyedearz Design will instal all the neccessary folders and files in the Y:\ drive and the system will be set up ready to create your customers webpages.
The webpages will need to be sent to your website and protected so only users with authorisation can access them by one of the following methods:
a) The cheap, simple webpage option if you have a limited number of customers and a basic knowledge of sending data to a website is to random name a folder on your website and send the pages created by Liftdata to your website each day. You can give your customer the www.webpage name and they can access it by simply entering this in Internet explorer. Your I.T. or web design company can give instruction on how to do this.
Setup Example for Website Developers:
Liftdata produces simple customer webpages with the following names "1.html", "2 html", etc up to 30.html
Setup a folder on your website randomly named (e.g. "fdreyhudj/")
Setup a system to FTP the customer webpage (e.g "1.html") into this folder.
Give your customer the webaddress (e.g. www.yourliftcompanywebsite/fdreyhudj/1.html)
Simple - all your customer has to do is add the address to his favourites on Explorer, NOTE: you must set up a separate folder for each customer and FTP the relavent file into the relavent folder.
Alternatively you could rename each page (e.g. "1.html" to "fdreyhudj1.html") before uploading and give the customer the address (e.g. www.yourliftcompanywebsite/fdreyhudj1.html) all customers files can then be sent to one folder.
b) Your I.T./Web design company could build a solution to send and protect the simple webpages for you.
c) LIFTDATA ADVANCED WEBSITE CREATION SYSTEM
Liftdata has an optional additional software package to rename the webpages, provide a set of login webpages and send the webpages to your website. This also has the advantage of enabling additional information to be added to each webpage for call out and repair job status as well as links to your own manually generated reports in html or Acrobat PDF.
Costs for this package include a one off setup fee and annual rental.
